Our guest on this episode is Daniel Satinsky, a business professional and associate of the Davis Center at Harvard University who is an expert on the Soviet diaspora's impact and innovative success in the U.S. economy. His book HAMMER AND SILICON (2018), coauthored with Sheila Puffer and Daniel McCarthy of Northeastern University, covers in depth "of the contributions of Soviet and post-Soviet immigrants to the US innovation economy, revealed through in-depth interviews and analysis".

About the Guest: Daniel Satinsky is an attorney, business consultant and independent scholar. His business experience includes importing Soviet rare earth oxides; developing international telecommunications in Russia, Georgia & Uzbekistan; providing business services in Yaroslavl'; introducing Russian software companies to New England, and working as a consultant on innovation policy to Regional Governments in Russia. He served as President of the Board of the U.S.-Russia Chamber of Commerce of New England from 1998 to 2017, and is now an associate of the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University.
