The Kraken scored very early and held the Canes to just seven shots and one goal through the first two periods. In the third Necas was buzzing, but it wasn't enough. There was an overturned goal which was questionable, but ultimately the Hurricanes didn't play well enough.John / Cole / Ashley

The Blues were the better team early, but a late first period pp goal and an early second period goal propelled the Hurricanes to victory. Kochetkov was great, and Necas is the hottest player in the NHL. The team improved to 13-4 overall and 7-1 at home.John

For the first time ever the Hurricanes played hockey in the state of Utah and it looked pretty good until the 3rd. Pyotr was banged up and pulled, the canes went 8 straight minutes on the pp without a goal, and Vejmelka was great in goal for Utah.
