It's Monday, but we have a special edition of the Aaron Torres Podcast, as lawyer and sports law expert Dan Lust joins the show to discuss what Monday's Supreme Court ruling means for the future of college sports. Here is a full rundown of today's show:
Sports Law Expert Dan Lust explains Monday's Supreme Court ruling: After a quick introduction (2:30), Aaron welcomes in sports law expert Dan Lust for a full breakdown of what Monday's ruling means (13:30). The guys discuss what, if anything changes today (18:00) and why this doesn't directly have anything to do with "Name, Image, Likeness" rules, but kind of does. They wrap by discussing if the NCAA could've, or should've done anything different (32:00) and wonder aloud whether this will one day lead athletes being considered "employees" of the schools they play for (36:00).
