College football is heading into its most impactful weekend of the season so far with six games matching ranked teams, including No. 3 Alabama against No. 6 Tennessee and No. 10 Penn State at No. 5 Michigan.

Pat Forde of Sports Illustrated joins AP’s Ralph Russo to preview all the big games and determine which ones are the most intriguing. Also, Oklahoma is a mess under Brent Venables and patience has never been thinner in college football. Are the Sooners’ already in crisis mode. There were no head coaches fired last weekend, but an NFL firing could impact the college coaching carousel now that Matt Rhule is unemployed. Plus, there were some offensive assistant coaches fired in the Big Ten, but maybe not the one you would have first expected.
