Domestic Violence comes in many forms. While we often think of it as spouse on spouse violence, it can happen in any family relationship. It also comes in various charges: phone threats, harassing text messages, destruction of property and strangulation to name a few. Substance use and abuse often go hand in hand with these cases and it can happen in any home to anyone at any time. As defense attorneys we defend those accused of these crimes. In this episode, we are lucky to have a friend and fellow attorney as a special guest: Pilar Falo, a criminal and family law attorney. Join us as we discuss what facts we often see in these cases, what type of defenses there are and problems faced by the prosecution and defense.
