What must the Gentiles do to be saved? This question caused a great internal conflict in the church, as many of the Jews were saying that the Gentiles must be circumcized and conform to the Law of Moses in order to truly be part of God’s redeemed people. Here we see the elders of the congregations and apostles have to defend the Gospel. From a Birdseye view, this text helps serve as a reminder of the reality of false teaching and where it comes from.
