This week on the grappling rewind Maine and Emil talk about ADCC 2022 superfight and potential replacements that will Face Gordon Ryan if Andre Galvao does not choose to defend his title.

We discussed the history of the ADCC superfight and talked a little bit about the various replacements and changes throughout the events history that have led to what we see now. We also go in-depth on the rivalry between Gordon Ryan and Andre Galvao.

In the first segment of the show we discuss the three replacements that have been put forth by Mo jasam the 2022 ADCC coordinator. We discuss Fabricio Werdum and his previous ADCC victories, as well as his most recent grappling matches, we talked about a matchup that never happened between Gordon Ryan and Werdum for a combat Jiu-Jitsu World title a few years ago. We discussed Marcus Almeida Buchecha also as a replacement, talking about his multiple accolades and history in the organization, as well as potentially his move over to MMA and Gordon Ryan first match with him in 2019 in the absolute finals at ADCC. Finally we talked about a potential rematch with Felipe Pena, the only man to ever beat Gordon Ryan twice we discussed the first matchup and second match up, as well as all of the many reasons why this is truly the match to make between the two men. We discuss the history between the two Grapplers and why this match is particularly compelling for us.

In the preview section of the show we discuss Fight2win 166. We discussed the matchup between Josh Cisneros the number two ranked featherweight in the world taking on Lucas Pinheiro the number one ranked rooster weight in the world. We take a look at the weight difference between the two Grapplers and talk about the stylistic matchup that is sure to be fireworks.

Also on the card we discuss Rafael Lovato Jr versus Gabriel Almeida and the possibility of this match taking place in the Gi. We are pleased at this match and I think it is something that could really be well-matched with pathways to victory for both Grapplers.

After that we preview Quintet Fight Night 6 taking place in Japan this is the second all women's Quintet event featuring some great super fights as well.

We also discuss the upcoming Emerald City Invitational that is a 170-pound bracket featuring some top names in nogi.

In the outro section of the show Emil discusses the phase of the vaccine he is eligible for and Maine discusses his upcoming back surgery consultation.
