This week on the shell Maine and Zak recap Fight to Win 172 and preview EUG #2, and F2W 173.
In the news section of the show we discuss Maine appearing on the Joe Rogan experience for three seconds in an interview he did with Nick Rodriguez, during the Craig Jones and Alexander Volkanovski episode. We discuss Andre Galvao announcing that he was going to do the ADCC 2022 Superfight and potentially take on Gordon Ryan. also discussed Maine getting married two days prior and how awesome the wedding was.
In the recap section of the show we discuss three black belt matches on F2W. Yuri Simoes vs Devhonte “Bones” Johnson that saw aggressive stand up work from Yuri and aggressive work on the back for the decision win. We talk about the new folds coming out of Oliver Taza’s wrestling game and how he has begun to chain wrestle and implement the JT Torres Single against Jaime Canuto.
We also discuss one of the most entertaining sequences of the year so far in Arnaldo Maidana's decision victory over Fellipe Trovo that earned FOTN honors for the pair.
In the preview section of the show we discuss the welterweight bracket for 10K on EUG for their second event. Talking about how we think each round of the eight man bracket will go. We talk Johnatha Alves vs Michael Liera Jr, that is a contrast of styles AOJ vs ATOS. Jonnatas Gracie vs Mathias Luna also on the left side of the bracket. The right side of the bracket, loaded with young blood in Tainan Dalpra vs Rafael Dos Anjos, and Damien Nitkin vs Micael Galvao. Zak and Maine differ on who and how they think a champion will be crowned in this one.
In the preview of F2W 173 we discuss Kendall Reusing vs Talita Nogueira the rematch, Pedro Dias vs Joao Miyao and Lucas Pinheiro vs Paulo Miyao in a match sure to shake up the bantamweight rankings. We talk about the contrast of range between Paulo and Lucas.
In the outro section we talk about various upcoming events and brackets, and go off topic for a minute.
