Season 2: Let's Get It Dennis: Welcome to the Side Jawn, I am your host Dennis the Ingnoranthinkerspodcast Holmes. I'm here with my co-host Sharon the Chocolate Girrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl! Say it right Dennis. How you doing Chocolate Girl? Sharon: Tells how she is doing and recaps her week. Throws it back to Dennis. Dennis: What's going on in the headlines this week? Sharon: The Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade which federally protected a woman's right to have access to an abortion. They threw it back to the states to decide for each state. For 50 years women have felt protected not only due o the abortion provision but the overarching precedent that no one can control what happens to our bodies but us. The conservatives are hoping to use this precedent to now change laws around interracial marriage, same sex marriage, privacy in the bedroom, a woman's access to birth control or drugs you take after you miscarry, all kinds of colateral changes are going to be affected. So while those who swear out abortion is murder, while they are celebrating this, they really need to pray they are never faced with any of the medical issues for which they would need anything involving this type of procedure, drugs, etc. They will not have access. We are going back to the 1940's now. Sad day. NBA 2022 Draft was on Thursday, which was also my birthday!!!!!! Great day. Dennis, what are your thoughts on the draft? Dennis: Today we start Season 2 here on the Side Jawn, so we gettin it started today with a couple of Letters to the Side Jawn. You wanna read the letter Chocolate Girl? Dear Side Jawn My husband and l been married going on 3 years. We been friends since 2007. My husband been in my babies life since they were 7 and 2, now they're 11 and 7. My ex husband (we have 2 kids together) does NOT help out with our kids at all. I think the last time he did something for the kids was in 2019. My ex husband moved 3hrs away. Since 2019, he finally seen the kids this past weekend. He bought toys, smell good stuff but he didn't give any money that will actually help with the kids. My husband helps out with everything (I'm disabled) like buying kids clothes shoes, food, car note, car insurance, light bill. My kids call my husband daddy. My husband wants to adopt my kids . My ex-husband won't sign over his rights. l don't understand why because my ex husband doesn't do s*** My oldest gave the sperm donor her cell phone number and he calls her all the time filling their head up with things that he's gonna buy her, knowing damn well he's not. And I see that it bothers my husband because he does everything for my kids and just for my ex husband to call and tell all these lies. My question is should I stop my oldest from talking to her sperm donor? And should I take him to court to make him sign over his rights (Not sure how it goes with him not volunteering to sign them over)? Dennis: gives his thoughts Sharon: gives her thoughts Discussion Letter 2: Dear Side Jawn: My sister is a businesswoman, intelligent, spritual, and a mother of 2 boys, both in college in our town. She loves to party and goes out all the time. My concern is when she goes out, she is very wild. She dresses with the girls and her behind out, showing everything, and she flirts relentlessly, all over the dance floor grinding, and then at the end of the night, when these dudes want to go somewhere with her, she says no and it has sometimes led to big problems. One guy followed us while we were driving home and when we got to my house he jumps out talking about "Bitch I bought you all these drinks and shit, now you wanna play a nigga!" If i didn't pull my gun out and tell him to get the fuck back, no telling what he would have done to her. This happens often and sometimes she goes out by herself.
