Manage episode 325642602 series 3125116
About Connor:
Connor was raised in rural Emmett, Idaho as a pastor's and principal's kid, (PK squared). He loves to hunt and fish even though he might be bad at both :). Connor tries to submit to God in all parts of his life. He is extremely thankful for the grace of God and the grace others have given him because he is far from perfect. He is very thankful for his parents, his girlfriend Hailey, his good friend Colby, and many others in the room today for the support, grace, and love they have given him as he tries to fight the good fight.
About Chapel:
The chapel theme for the 2021-2022 year is "upRoar". The Greek word that is translated as “uproar” isἐκταράσσω (ektarassō),: to agitate, to disturb wholly, to exceedingly trouble. Although an uproar is “seen,” it is preceded with a subversive force. The church operates in a similar way, being subversive to the rhythm of the culture it exists within. It is the perpetuation of this subversive force that causes and creates an uproar that is seen and felt. It is our goal this year to explore ways for us to participate in the subversive kingdom force that will create an uproar in the culture God calls us to.
