My Child & ADDICTION

The Parent Support Group discusses how Substance Use Disorder impacts everyone in the family, not just the addicted child. During the meeting, parents candidly share how they have reacted to the professional guidance provided in seeking family recovery. The group connected via Zoom due to the COVID-19 pandemic and includes mothers and fathers, some in recovery, married and not, with teenage to adult children. The parents are joined by Betsy Auray, a family and marriage therapist who serves as NY Regional Director, Caron Treatment Centers.
