Mohammad Altawaha is the founder and owner of Abu Omar Halal - a famous Middle Eastern restaurant in North America. Mohammad is originally from Jordan. He came to Houston, Texas in 2008 to pursue higher education. He studied Accounting but soon decided to open a halal food truck. This food truck soon grew into 20 locations across the country.
Abu Omar Halal is loved for its signature Chicken Shawarma among others. In this episode, Mohammad talks about how he started his restaurant journey, what challenges he faced during the pandemic and his favorite halal restaurants.
