Slumdog Millionaire is the story of an impoverished Indian teen, Jamal Malik, and how he became a contestant on the Hindi version of Who Wants to be A Millionaire? His endeavor is without prize money in mind; instead, it is an effort to prove his love for his friend Latika, who is an ardent fan of the show.
