An underrated championship battle is ready to take place Saturday night in Vegas and we have a full look at it on the latest edition of our show.
Host T.J. Rives is back with special guests to get ready for all the action, including the Miguel Berchelt vs. Oscar Valdez WBC Super Featherweight Showdown,
First, T.J. welcomes back David Payne, aka “The Boxing Writer,” from England to give his insight on the shocking upset loss of British Featherweight Josh Warrington last weekend. And, what will be next for Warrington after his KO defeat?
David also discusses the delay of the Jamel Herring-Carl Frampton WBO 130 lb. bout that was supposed to have happened next week but now won’t until at least April.
And, the guys reminisce about the anniversaries of the two shocking upsets of Leon Spinks over Muhammad Ali in 1978 and Buster Douglas over Mike Tyson in 1990 from last week.
Finally, T.J. welcomes Marquis Johns, Sr. Writer of BigFightWeekend.com to give his preview takes on the bouts this weekend. Marquis not only has opinions on Berchelt vs. Valdez with Berchelt (photo top) will be making the eighth defense of his Super Featherweight title against the 28-0 Valdez.
But, he also will be covering the “PBC on Showtime” Saturday night card at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut that features former two division champ, Adrien Broner headlining. That card also has a 10 round Heavyweight battle between Otto Wallin and Dominic Brezeale, as the co-feature.
Marquis also has insight on some of the undercard fighters to pay attention to and we give you gambling advice, including Valdez being a potential “juicy” Underdog in the late Saturday battle with the champion Berchelt.
