Amanda Nelson of Exploring Amanda travels in search of showcasing the best unique destinations for her followers. She has stayed in yurts, shipping containers, buses, all the way to luxury boutique hotels. Amanda is known for taking her own photographs and videos along the way utilizing her tripod and inspiring independent travel. Born in New York, then moving at age 6 to Pennsylvania, just to move again at age 12, she found out early on in life that there is something to experiencing different cultures. This has shaped her and gave her the experience seeking way life that you now see her live out. She married her now husband in 2012, who was active duty military and – yup- you guessed it- moved around several more times, excited each time to grasp the new culture at hand.

Three years ago she packed up and left the northeast for Austin, Texas. Now, you can find her exploring the hidden gems of this state, now so more than ever with heightened travel restrictions.
