What we're throwing down on the Table this week is a in-depth discussion with our friend of the pod, John Stolnis from The Hittin' Season podcast and TheGoodPhight.com, about if we should start looking toward the Phillies upcoming offseason. This up-and-down team is exhausting. We got into it!
But first, we discussed what options might be available for the Sixers as it pertains to trading Ben Simmons. Should they simply look at getting draft picks for him at this point? (approx. 8:00)
We then talked about the recent Monday Night Football broadcast on ESPN2 where Peyton and Eli Manning were giving commentary. It was new. It was entertaining and fun. Our thoughts about this new broadcasting direction. (approx. 17:50)
Then, we dove into our thoughts about the upcoming week two Eagles game as they host the 49'ers at The Linc. (approx. 25:30)
This week's interview, and what we threw down on the Table was a discussion with John Stolnis from The Good Phight and Hittin' Season podcast about this Phillies team, and how exhausting they are to watch night after night. Should we begin looking toward the offseason? And is there anything the front office could have done last offseason to alter the team's fortunes this year?
