This week my guest is Heather Mistretta, Founder & President, Pressing Releases and President WAGE International (Women & Girls Education International).
Heather has more than 30 years of professional writing and editing experience as well as extensive experience in all aspects of communications including website content creation, planning, media relations, video scripting, white papers, marketing and non-profit development and leadership.
In her 30 years as a professional writer, she has launched a newsletter, managed a team of journalists, written for the worldwide news service, Reuter, where she also helped to create the electricity reporting desk; acted as editor for an alumni magazine.
In 2013, Heather became the co-founder of WAGE International (Women & Girls Education International), where she also serves as President. Despite many struggles and milestones of success, worldwide, one billion women continue to face violence. Education is key to empowering communities, and particularly girls and women, to overcome violence. Women and Girls Education (WAGE) International is a New Jersey-based group that works with local and global organizations through the community networking to raise awareness, support, and develop educational resources for empowerment.
