When a young Eva Kollisch arrives as a refugee in New York in 1940, she finds a community among socialists who share her values and idealism. She soon discovers ‘the cause’ isn’t as idyllic as it seems. Little does she know this is the beginning of a lifelong commitment to activism and her determination to create radical change in ways that include belonging, love and one's full self. In addition to Eva Kollisch’s memoirs Girl in Movement (2000) and The Ground Under My Feet (2014), LBI’s collections include an oral history interview with Eva conducted in 2014 and the papers of Eva’s mother, poet Margarete Kolllisch, which document Eva’s childhood experience on the Kindertransport. Back in school days life was quite simple and easy. I used to study in Islamia English School, where I completed my O/A levels. So I had many friends, and one of the close friend is Talha. I came back to Pakistan after school for graduation however Talha went to AbuDhabi university and completed his software engineering. Later he went to U.K where he struggled with surrounding culture and maintaining Islamic values in the western society around him. It's an old story of my journey in October of 2019 when I visited the Sundar Industrial Estate to assist the industries in Electrical and Instrumentation. That's when I found out about Kansai Paints which is a multinational firm of Japan having a factory based in Lahore Pakistan. After paying twice visit for a meeting, I finally managed to get the right end user and was able to explain him our services. Finally he shared the main concern which he had of the spare parts of his machine Graco Airless Spray Paint. Graco is an American brand and have multiple product line that deals in coating and fluid automation. So we eventually ended up sourcing the pressure transducer 243222 which was required by Kansai Paints. This transducer helps in measuring the pressure of paint and send signals back to controller and to digital display. That's when we procured the transducer and sent it to the concerned engineer.
