WHERE DID BMF GO WRONG?!
Manage episode 357966439 series 3253708
The Black Mafia Family (BMF) was a criminal organization that was active in the United States from the late 1980s to the mid-2000s. The group was founded in Detroit by brothers Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory and Terry "Southwest T" Flenory. The BMF was involved in drug trafficking, money laundering, extortion, and other criminal activities. The BMF grew rapidly and expanded its operations to other cities, including Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Miami. The group was known for its extravagant lifestyle, which included expensive cars, jewelry, and parties. They became one of the most notorious drug trafficking organizations in the United States, with estimates of their profits reaching hundreds of millions of dollars. However, the BMF's criminal activities eventually caught up with them, and in 2005, the U.S. government launched a massive investigation into the organization. This led to the arrest and conviction of many BMF members, including the Flenory brothers, who were sentenced to 30 years in prison. The downfall of the BMF was seen as a significant victory for law enforcement in their fight against organized crime.
