In this episode, I will be discussing the NBA MVP award, and who should win it this season. Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Joel Embiid have been playing very well, and Embiid has definitely become the front-runner for the award in the last few weeks. I really do believe that there should be different criteria for players that are going to win the MVP. There should be a minimum amount of games you have to play in order to win it, and the same goes for the All-NBA team as well. Fans want to see guys play, so if players are playing at a high level and they have only played 50-55 games out of 82, they shouldn't be in the conversation for MVP. There are a lot of injuries in the NBA now, and that is because the NBA is so free-flowing and so up-and-down. The Western Conference is a very strong conference now, especially because of Kevin Durand and Kyrie Irving coming to the West. You would think that some of these teams in the West would already be at a win total of 50 games, but since a lot of players have been injured, they haven't had a chance to build that chemistry and they don't really know how to share the court. The San Francisco 49ers are poised for a big season. Coming off of a disappointing NFC Championship appearance, they are looking to use that as motivation and move forward. Acquiring Javon Hargrave definitely adds to the physicality of that defense and helps guys like Erik Armstead and Nick Bosa get pressure on the quarterback and stop the rushing attack of the opposing team.
