But when it comes to our faith, are we actively in the game, or are we just sitting on the sidelines? In Matthew 25:14-30, Jesus tells the Parable of the Talents, a reminder that God has entrusted each of us with unique gifts and expects us to use them for His Kingdom. We are called to know our talents, grow our talents, and ultimately show our talents—not for our own gain, but to carry out His mission in the world. As 1 Corinthians 7:7 reminds us, “each of you has your own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.” The question is—are we investing what God has given us?
