Good morning, Atlanta! This is your weather update for a crisp and frosty start to the day.
Let's dive right into our forecast, where winter is definitely making its presence known. Today, we're looking at widespread frost before 10 in the morning, but don't worry - the sun's going to break through and warm us up to a high near 47 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect a gentle east wind around 5 miles per hour, perfect for those cozy morning walks.
Tonight, get ready for another round of frost, mainly after midnight. We'll see clear skies and temperatures dipping down to around 29 degrees Fahrenheit. That east wind will continue to whisper at about 5 miles per hour.
Moving into Monday, we're looking at a similar pattern - frost before 9 in the morning, followed by sunny skies and a high near 48 degrees Fahrenheit. The wind will pick up just a bit, ranging from 5 to 10 miles per hour with gusts up to 15 miles per hour.
The holiday week is shaping up with some interesting weather. Christmas Day brings a slight 20 percent chance of showers, and temperatures will hover around a mild 55 degrees Fahrenheit. As we move towards the end of the week, we're looking at increasing shower chances - climbing to 30 and 40 percent by Friday and Saturday.
