Season 15, Episode 69 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Tuesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers as they continue to prepare to play the Kanas City Chiefs Wednesday at home on Christmas Day.
We go over the Steelers' Monday injury report and highlight the fact that it is looking good that the team will have at least four players that missed the Week 16 game due to injuries back for the Wednesday contest against the Chiefs. We also go over the injury report from the Chiefs and how there’s a chance that DT Chris Jones might sit out Wednesday’s game in Pittsburgh.
Steelers coordinators Arthur Smith and Teryl Austin both held their weekly media sessions on Monday, so Alex and I parse the meaningful things that each had to see during his session.
After flying through the all-22 tape from the Steelers' Week 16 road loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Alex and I give our observations and recaps of what stood out from that defeat on both sides of the football.
Former Steelers WR Diontae Johnson has a new home as of Monday as the Houston Texans claimed him off waivers from the Ravens. We discuss him landing with the Texans and the news that the Steelers did not submit a waiver claim for him.
Alex and I then proceed to give our full breakdown and preview of the Steelers' home game against the Chiefs. We go over what we have observed on tape from the Chiefs on both sides of the football. We go over several key stats concerning the Chiefs and how they have managed to compile a 14-1 record to date. We address the things the Steelers need to do on offense and defense to beat the Chiefs at home on Wednesday.
Later in this show, Alex and I give our picks for the Wednesday and Thursday NFL games and that obviously includes our final score predictions for the Steelers' game against the Chiefs.

In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing a few notable things said and written by Adam Schefter of ESPN and Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette with draft week now officially here. When it comes to Schefter, we discuss him throwing out Pittsburgh Steelers WR George Pickens as one of 13 players still on rookie contracts that could potentially be traded before the 2025 NFL Draft ends. Alex and I discuss the plausibility and probability of Pickens ultimately being traded and what it would likely need to look like for both sides as far as compensation and potential contract negotiation obstacles go. There are quite a few hypotheticals thrown around in this discussion. Schefter also threw out the idea that the Steelers could trade down in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, so Alex and I look at the plausibility, probability and hypotheticals associated with the Steelers potentially doing that. As for Dulac, he has essentially indicated that the Steelers would only draft a position such as quarterback in the first round if a defensive lineman they desire is no longer on the board. Alex and I push back a little bit on that notion. We also address Dulac's recent thoughts on a new contract for OLB T.J. Watt this summer and push back on a few things associated with what he said on that matter as well. Will Oregon DL Derrick Harmon be off the board by the 21st overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft? Could the Cincinnati Bengals be in serious contention to select Harmon at 17th overall? Would the Bengals pick Harmon over Mississippi DT Walter Nolen? Also, could weight control at all be considered a concern when it comes to Harmon? We address all of these questions during the Monday show. Could North Dakota State QB Cam Miller factor into the Steelers' draft plans this year? We discuss the recent news associated with Miller and the Steelers. I also inform Alex how I have warmed up quite a bit on Ohia State QB Will Howard after watching more of his tape over the weekend. Alex and I discuss the possibility of only four or five running backs being selected before the 83rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. How many teams are likely to select a running back before the Steelers 83rd overall selection with this year's draft class being so deep at the position? In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers having Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders in for a pre-draft visit on Thursday and how that trip to the facility supposedly went. On Wednesday, Steelers OLB T.J. Watt had a post on Instagram that went viral, so we discuss all of the commotion that produced. Alex and I dive into whether Watt really was trying to send some sort of message with that picture that lacked context or narration. We also discuss the likelihood of Watt being trading and him ultimately signing a contract extension at some point this summer. I go over why I believe Watt will sign an extension this offseason as it relates to the Steelers projected cash spending in 2025. We also discuss what Watt might be looking for in a contract extension in both APY and cash flow. The Steelers have three additional pre-draft visitors on Friday, so Alex and I roll over that list of three players. We also total up the number of visitors so far and how many we expect to have come to Pittsburgh next week. We also discuss the Steelers having a pro day dinner at Michigan not long ago and the significance of that. Alex released another positional draft study on Friday and this one revolves around cornerbacks. We go over the one player that checked every box for what the Steelers look for as well as others that just missed the cut by one box. The Steelers seem primed to draft a running back this year, so Alex and I discuss the 2025 draft class at that position. We each name our top fits for the Steelers at that position.
