The Berkshire Digital event in February 2013 featured this presentation by Roland Allen, Director of TeenTech. Roland is a Technologist with 33 years of experience at the BBC. During his time at the BBC, Roland has held a great variety of roles which have also included managing the BBC Blue Room which raised awareness of changing trends in audience use of technology to consume BBC output, Consultant, Lecturer and Project Manager, Broadcast Engineer and Recording Engineer.
TeenTech events give young teenagers the opportunity to try their hand at experiments, leading edge technology and, most importantly to meet the engineers, technicians and scientists behind their 21st century lives. Filled with interactive activities, global companies, start-ups, Universities and institutions pool their energy and talent to show young people what life is really like in the modern Science, Technology and Engineering workplace.
