Hino Australia dealerships are now taking delivery of the keenly-anticipated medium-duty offering – the 500 Series Standard Cab. Coming 18 months after the local launch of the Wide Cab variant, the new Standard Cab model looks set to gain a greater market share for Hino in the growing medium-duty segment. The truck is chock full of safety gear and has a wider range of different configurations and variants available. While under the cab is a new five-litre four-cylinder engine. We caught up with Hino Australia Manager of Product Strategy Daniel Petrovski to find out more……

Freightliner are now around six months into an exhaustive local testing regime for the new Freightliner Cascadia. Set to replace the Argosy, in total more than 1.6 million kilometres of Australian testing is being carried out with Freightliner looking to make sure the truck is calibrated correctly for our local conditions. We chatted with Freightliner Director, Stephen Downes, about the new bonneted truck and how important it is for it to start life in Australia on the right foot. There's an updated and improved version of the Isuzu N-Series light-duty truck arriving in dealerships now. Some of the big changes include additional models of the big-selling offering Independent Front Suspension and Rack and Pinion Steering. Isuzu saying this gives the N-Series a more "car-like" feel and makes the truck an even more attractive proposition for tradies and other users who might be coming out of a ute or a van. There's also an updated version of the Isuzu Automated Manual (AMT) in the offering, again, changes that are likely to entice potential first-time truck buyers.
