Always appreciate the support Mahalo Multi Media (LAVA 105 & KOA Country 107) give to The PGA TOUR Champions Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai. aka PGA Champions MEC. There are good about doing ticket giveaways which listeners love. So I stopped by to tell the listeners more about the MEC and talk about who is playing, best way to watch, tee times... dis n dat about the MEC.
It’s starts tomorrow through Saturday Jan. 19
The MEC has been at this beautiful Four Seasons Resort Hualalai for 22 years. This is the 23rd year.
Jerry Kelly defends in a field that includes Fred Couples, John Daly, Tom Watson, Olin Browne, Rocco Mediate and many more. Over a million dollars has been raised for non profits and charities with funds going to the Rotary Club of Kona for their Rotary Club of Kona Community Foundation. The wonderful 400+ volunteer effort is under the Rotary Club of Kona with Volunteer Co-Chairs Kris Hazard and Larry Webb grateful for every ones commitment. The Daniel Sayre Foundation and Big Island Junior Golf receive funds from the MEC as well. Daily $25. $45 for 3 day tournament pass. Juniors and military complementary.
There will be wonderful coverage of great golf and our beautiful Big Island and of course Four Seasons Resort Hualalai to viewers all over the world as Golf Channel will broadcast live all 3 days. For those of us lucky enough to be here I suggest go to Four Seasons watch the tournament live and then watch the replay at night on the Golf Channel.
