She used to work for Archbishop Vigano at the Vatican Embassy but that has nothing to do with why she once yelled at Pope Francis to his face while eating with him. (LOL) Those two events in her life alone may lead you to believe why she is now the "ExNunOnTheRun," but it's not what you think. She's more Catholic than ever and you don't want to get in her way. Aside from being an "ex-nun" who used to work in, and for, The Vatican, Marilis is currently the Legislative and Diplomatic Relations Liaison for The Vulnerable People Project, headed by film producer, author, activist, podcast host, and human rights worker, Jason. Jones. Unapologetically Catholic, with a great influence on her @exnunontherun instagram account, Marilis stands up for the most vulnerable, using her gifts to bring their voices to the forefront.
