Managing One’s Spiritual Environment
To understand America, to understand the vision of our founding fathers, who were inspired by God to write our Constitution and to found this nation, we must understand the inalienable rights of man and the obligations of freewill. God, not man, not government, created all men equal. God gave us inalienable rights of life, liberty, and happiness. The purpose of government is to protect those inalienable rights. A self-evident truth is not a man-made creation. The role of government is not to create equality, a gift of God given to all his children; the role of government is to create an environment where man may securely practice his inalienable rights to expand into his potential if he chooses.
Freedom of will is a gift of God through law and any government that tries to take that gift away is in violation of the will of God and the will of man, who has an innate desire to be free. To crush will is to crush the spirit of man within. We are children of God, created in the image of God, bearing the gifts of God. We came to earth to expand into our intelligence. Good government is an invisible servant not a tyrannous master. Good government is based on the principle that God is no respecter of persons, that freewill exists, which is dependent upon the laws of God, not man, and that self-reliance, not government aid, is the key to liberty.
