This week we welcome someone who was just crowned a Super Bowl champion for the third time in their football career, but for the first time as a coach. Bucs outside linebackers coach, and former teammate of both Patrick Peterson and Bryant McFadden, Larry Foote joins All Things Covered and shares some insight on Tom Brady's personality, Tampa Bay's game plan to disrupt the Chiefs and memories of playing with the Steelers and under the legendary Dick LeBeau (38:00). But first, our hosts chop it up on what sport they would have pursued more seriously if football hadn't panned out (1:30)? Pat's name has been in the headlines since high school so recent reports regarding his future with the Cardinals are nothing new for him to deal with. But how does he handle it all (7:30)? P2 and BMac then head around the league (11:45), catching up on an unhappy "curly-haired" Rusell Wilson and J.J. Watt's release from Houston. "Has Pat Heard?" tests what he has been tapped into in the past week (20:45) and the return of "21 Questions" gives the listeners the chance to ask the guys some questions (26:00). If you want to be a part of the show, leave a question attached to a 5-star review on Apple Podcasts and we could answer it on a future episode! Next, Larry Foote joins for a wildly entertaining conversation (38:00). Foote was college teammates with Tom Brady at Michigan so he's able to share a long history with the GOAT. We also learn about BMac's recruiting trip to Ann Arbor (hosted by Larry) and more secrets from that frigid weekend in 1999. Foote was not only a teammate of Pat and Bryant, but he also was a former teammate of Antonio Brown and details what it was like adding him to the Bucs roster midseason. The trio also covers the NFL's hiring process, Bruce Arians' staff-building technique, the keys to Super Bowl LV and coaching Jason Pierre-Paul and Shaquil Barrett. There's lots of Bucs talk but also plenty of focus on the Steelers and Cardinals as well. We test trivia knowledge and finish with Superlatives as always and as the trash talk continues!
