Fryer, Jr's Analysis of Racial Differences in Police Use of Force - a much vaunted evaluation of the apparent disparity in police shootings of unarmed black men (and boys). The claim of those who say that the Negro problem is everything but historical and systemic racism, proffer Fryer's study as proof that police are a wholly unbiased band of benevolent brethren in blue. Yet, just within the first six pages, Melancholy discovers those cocksure claims to be somewhat flaccid.
