Purple must be the color of friendship with my dear sister-friend, Sandra (San) Bond 💜
We read the book back when some local libraries wouldn't carry it, and watched the original movie back when it was being boycotted by the NAACP.
(All I've got to say about that is, just keep living!)
We forgot to mention that San's high school classmate, Willard E. Pugh, played "Harpo" in the original film (1985).
I thought that made her famous, too!😂
