Scripture Passage: Genesis 12:1-20

A person of faith obeys God.

• A person of faith must be willing to go wherever God calls.
• A person of faith must be willing to forsake all for God.

A person of faith worships God.

• Our worship stands in contrast to our culture.
• Our worship involves time and effort.
• Our worship is to be given to the Lord.

A person of faith can falter and fail.

• We delay in obeying God.
• We lean on our own understanding.
• We can be selfish, deceive others and put others in jeopardy.
• We can bring trouble on others.
• We can put our testimony at risk.

A person of faith has a wonderful God.

• The Lord graciously reveals himself.
• The Lord demonstrates patience.
• The Lord blesses us beyond belief.
• The Lord intercedes.
• The Lord gives blessings in spite of our failures.
• The Lord forgives and restores.
