Richard Herring Grew A 'Hitler' Toothbrush Moustache | Chaplin Talks
Manage episode 361711102 series 2900365
This week's guest is comedian Richard Herring.
Richard talks about how the 'toothbrush moustache' has come to symbolize Nazi infamy (when worn by Hitler), when it used to be a symbol of comedy (when worn by Charlie Chaplin).
He grew a toothbrush moustache as a social experiment and went on a stand up comedy tour of England to reclaim the toothbrush moustache for Charlie Chaplin.
Find out how 'The Great Dictator' inspired Richard Herring to go on tour and attempt to reclaim the the toothbrush moustache from Hitler and give it back to Charlie Chaplin.
A very special thanks to HItchin Town Hall for providing us with a space to film.
