Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, addresses questions surrounding effective prayer, and whether God hears the prayers of those who have rejected Jesus as Lord and Savior. He points out that the Scripture says that God does not listen to the prayers of the wicked. God hears the prayers of the wicked and he knows exactly what they are praying because he is omniscient, all-knowing. But if unbelievers persist in wickedness God will not grant their requests. They pray in vain. Dr. Hall discusses how prayers that are acceptable to God are conditioned upon many things, including using the right words, living the right kind of life, and having the right kind of attitude. Having an attitude of humility, a forgiving spirit and the right motive are essential to prayers that work. He concludes the podcast by pointing out that God lives within believers as the Holy Spirit which means our prayers are God’s prayers, and that there is no gap between the prayer and the hearing of that prayer.
