Irma McClaurin, PhD/MFA (http://irmamcclaurin.com), is an award-winning writer, activist anthropologist, consultant and founder of the “Irma McClaurin Black Feminist Archive” at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is the Editor of BLACK FEMINIST ANTHROPOLOGY: THEORY, POLITICS, PRAXIS AND POETICS, a past president of Shaw University, and in 2015 was named “Best Columnist in the Nation” by the Black Press of America.
