In this episode we read Uncanny X-Men (1963) #116-117 and back-up stories that fit during after #116 in Classic X-Men (1986) #22-23 (but NOT a contemporaneous story from #24, which we’re saving until later). The X-Men agree to assist Ka-Zar in liberating the Savage Land from Garrok’s control before setting sail for any sign of non-Antarctic land.

Meanwhile, Xavier flashes back to a day in his past with two significant first contacts – with Storm and Amahl Farouk, The Shadow King!
