Imagine it’s 1918. The Great War has just finished, but now the aliens are invading. Ginger Jeeves, ace fighter pilot, traumatised by the war, cannot distinguish between reality and fantasy. Skaj Frite is the Supreme Leader of the Trascons, wondering if invasion is truly the way to claim a new home for his refugee race.

XBook, the surreal novel in which these two characters deal with such very extraordinary events in vastly different ways.

Presented to you is the whole book in an audio format. It's lower quality than I hoped for due to the length.

I will have the timestamps for each chapter in the description so that you can move around.

The audio quality, narration speed and volume will vary due to being recorded in chunks over literal years.

This isn’t a great book. To understand why I think so, please check out Series 1 of this podcast where I break down the book over 25 episodes. Be very patient with the first 8 or so episodes. Things start to get interesting and better after that.

Again, this is not a great book. But, for budding story-tellers, you can’t always study what’s great. You also need to study the failures. You really do. Studying my own failure has helped me a lot.

Be warned that there is some disturbing imagery and lots of naughty words. This is for adults.
