I am at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai here on the Big Island of Hawaii. Doing this interview for Emily T Gail Talk Story Show with Kelly Fliear Tournament Manager PGA TOUR Champions Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai. aka PGA Champions MEC.
It’s coming up January 17-19 which is a Thursday, Friday, Saturday. The MEC has been at this beautiful resort for 23 years. I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked on the MEC with the PGA Champions Tour since the first year.
Jerry Kelly defends in a field that includes Fred Couples, John Daly, Tom Watson, Olin Browne, Rocco Mediate and many more.
Over a million dollars has been raised for non profits and charities with funds going to the Rotary Club of Kona for their Rotary Club of Kona Community Foundation. The wonderful 400+ volunteer effort is under the Rotary Club of Kona with Volunteer Co-Chairs Kris Hazard and Larry Webb grateful for every ones commitment. The Daniel Sayre Foundation and Big Island Junior Golf receive funds from the MEC as well. Just $45 for 3 day tournament pass. Juniors and military complementary.
There will be wonderful coverage of great golf and our beautiful Big Island and of course Four Seasons Resort Hualalai to viewers all over the world as Golf Channel will broadcast live all 3 days.
