Thank you so much!
I want to take this moment to thank you for taking the time out of your day to listen to the show. I know you have many choices and because you choose to listen to this show, I am forever grateful.
In this episode I talk about 8 ways to make sure your DJ has got you covered.
Firstly, It is imperative that you choose a wedding DJ who will be the right fit for your taste, style and personality.
Are you looking for some that is Energetic and outgoing? Quite and Laid Back? Or Perhaps even somewhere in between.
Second, Does age matter?
1. Will your wedding have any unique cultural traditions the DJ should be familiar with?
2. What price range are you looking to stay within. There are many different DJ available at many different price points. If your budget is low in this area then it might be best to do it yourself, and by that I mean, use your own iPod or iPhone [mp3 player] or use a friend's with a playlist that you will enjoy and know that your friends and family will have a good time with.
To find some good DJ's and gage some prices go to sites like:WeddingWire.comStyleMePretty.comWeddingBee.comtheKnot.com
3. Make sure to take a good look around the DJ's website. Take note if it's a bit on the low quality side of things, or if she is lacking one all together. If they don't have one it is quite possible they don't take themselves too seriously.
4. Pricing. This should be consistent and will prove their ethics. Their structure should be clear and you should be able to get a quote through email or while on the call.
5. The Contract. Make sure to get a professionally written contract with sensible terms when you meet
6. Who’s Equipment? Ask to make sure that they will be the ones that will be the ones that will bring their own equipment. Or if in fact you will be in charge of making sure everything they need will be there for them when they arrive
7. Cancelation Policy. Make sure that you know it well in case there is some unforeseen weather issues.
8. Insurance. Make sure they have insurance so that if there is any damage to their equipment you won't have to give up your security deposit
