I was so excited when my guest, Lorne Adrain, agreed to be on Eye Openers. He’s a bit of a legend in Rhode Island for all of his philanthropic work and visionary leadership.
With a resume that could fill 3 lifetimes, a few standouts include: the coveted MBA from Harvard Business School, started his own tech company, and rode his bike across the US solo!
But that is NOT why I was so excited to have him on. I wanted to ask the tough questions to find out, with all that experience and wisdom, what were the most important things someone could do to find success.
Think about it: Ivy league education, Fortune 500 career, visionary leader. And you know what his answer was??
Relationships.
Invest in your relationships first.
Give to others without expecting in return.
And truly care about the person in front of you.
These suggestions may seem obvious, but they are not common practice.
