She won’t be the first to say it, so I will: The woman is a legend. For forty years, she nurtured a family, a marriage, a home, and a deep faith while also flourishing in a career as a professional violinist. These days, when I think about all the things she balanced, it makes me instantly tired and in need of a robust nap. My mom has been married to my dad for 51 years, and they have taught me all I know about loving each other well and still laughing like teenagers after decades together.
