Traditionally we have planned a route in Garmin BaseCamp (or another route planning software) and transferred this to a unit using a USB cable.We then follow either the route or track But with a number of the ‘new generation units’ we can do this wirelessly using the Garmin Connect App, this converts it to a ‘course’ though.
