Alice Kitchel: Resilience as Flexibility and Ruthless Creativity
Manage episode 308572032 series 2886524
What comes to mind when you hear the word “hobby” or “artistic” or “creativity”?
Hearing Alice Kitchel, whose artwork inspires such deep and warm movement within my imagination, speak about the challenges she encounters in her relationship with creativity, changed my perspective a little.
It's often been said that having some creative outlet matters for my mental health, some hobby of some sort that doesn’t only involve working at my job, making meals to be eaten, cleaning the house (okay, collecting the dust bunnies), or doing any of the other necessary productive tasks that keep my life on track.
During my conversation, I realized I didn't have a creative outlet so I asked Alice about it. Her answer blew me away.
