Dak Prescott is an American football quarterback who plays for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League. Prescott played college football at Mississippi State University, where he was instrumental in leading the Bulldogs to some of their most successful seasons in recent history, even reaching the No. 1 spot in the national rankings for the first time in school history. During his college career, he set numerous records for passing yards, touchdowns, and total offensive yards, solidifying his reputation as a dual-threat quarterback.

Prescott was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft as the 135th overall pick. Initially expected to serve as a backup to longtime starting quarterback Tony Romo, Prescott was thrust into the starting role when Romo suffered an injury during the preseason. Prescott excelled immediately, leading the Cowboys to a 13-3 record during his rookie season. He threw for 23 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions, demonstrating impressive poise, accuracy, and the ability to extend plays with his legs. His performance earned him the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award, and he was also selected to the Pro Bowl.

Since then, Prescott has been a cornerstone of the Cowboys' offense, known for his leadership, athleticism, and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
