This week, Paul and Mary Beth Kletter stop by the studio to talk to me about all they do at Traveler's Rest Hotel. Traveler’s Rest is an independent hotel located along the GAP trail, right down in Southside. Their hotel is like no other hotel I’ve been to. Character is something Traveler’s Rest does not lack. The refurbished building adds a different element to just “finding a place to stay” when you travel. It’s quite the unique spot and I urge you to go to their website and check out this awesome place we all have right in our back yard. - Besides accommodating regular travelers, they are a destination for the amazing cycling community that frequents the Greater Allegheny Passage trail that runs from The Point down to Cumberland, MD. If yinz didn’t know, it’s a very common thing for people to travel from all over to ride the trail in its entirety. Their Hotel is fully equipped to store your bike and conduct any routine maintenance you might need on your trip. - This week, we talk about how Paul and Mary Beth met, traveling the world together and working in hostels and hotels in exchange for room and board, the reason for coming back to the Burgh, and ultimately how they decide to open a hotel of their very own.
