Sean Kanan’s first acting role was that of villain Mike Barnes in the 1989 film “The Karate Kid Part III”, and is currently starring in Netflix’s popular Cobra Kai. Mike is an outstanding actor who has also joined the cast of The Bold & The Beautiful and The Young & The Restless.
It wasn’t simply Mike’s acting skills that led us to having a healthy obsession with wanting him to feature on Inspo - but his lifelong dedication towards making his life seriously count.
During the filming of The Karate Kid Part III Mike suffered internal bleeding, collapsed in his Las Vegas hotel room and underwent life saving surgery. Mike isn’t simply a fighter or an overcomer, he is addicted to making every minute of his life count which has even resulted in the creation of his own Emmy award winning digital drama series “Studio City”.
Mike is trained in the art of Karate, has built endurance and resilience through his near death experience and has committed himself to inspiring his fans to live the way of the Cobra.
We were excited that Mike said yes to joining Inspo and in this interview we discussed the key COBRA philosophies and principles that Mike has used to achieve success after success.
