The “good” non-believer can look upon the Christian who may be puffed up in their spiritual superiority and say: see, they’re judgmental and self-righteous…they’re hypocrites!
And that “good” non-believer, at that same time, is being self-righteous and judgmental.
Both parties have developed a “system of goodness” in which they evaluate and judge others …. Both “confident in their own righteousness” (aka goodness).
The solution: be real; with yourself, with others, and with God.
