Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD. -Psalms 150:6
DEVOTION
Based on Psalm 150
This final verse of the Psalms is a universal call to praise, reminding us that all of creation was made to glorify God. Every living thing, from the smallest creature to humanity itself, is invited to lift its voice in worship. Praise is the natural response to recognizing God’s greatness, His love, and His provision in our lives.
The psalmist ends with a crescendo of worship, encouraging us to use every breath we have to honor the Creator. This verse reminds us that as long as we are alive, we have a purpose: to glorify God with our words, our actions, and our hearts. Praising Him is not only a privilege but a way to align our lives with the joy and peace found in His presence.
Take a moment tonight to offer God the gift of your breath in praise. Breathe out distractions and worries, and breathe in the fullness of His love. Let your life, in all its moments, be an expression of gratitude and worship to the One who gives you life.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Praise God for His majesty and for the breath of life He has given you. Rejoice in His greatness, His love, and His care for all creation. Celebrate the privilege of joining all living things in glorifying His name.
CONFESSION: Reflect on times when you’ve taken the gift of life for granted or withheld your praise. Confess those moments and ask for a heart that continually seeks to honor Him.
THANKSGIVING: Thank God for the breath in your lungs and for the opportunity to use it to praise Him. Express gratitude for His faithfulness, His provision, and the joy of worshiping Him with your whole being.
SUPPLICATION: Father, let every breath I take be a reflection of Your glory. Teach me to live a life of praise, honoring You in all I do. Fill my heart with gratitude and my voice with songs of worship. Let my life be a witness of Your greatness to all the world.
PRAYER
“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.”
1 CORINTHIANS 13:1-3
Dear Lord, You are love, and everything You do and say bursts forth from that identity. I pray that the same would be true of me. I pray that my every intention, word, and action would spring forth from a place of love for You and others. Anchor me in Your love, so I may be steady and unmoving during crisis. Adorn me with love for others, so I can be a light to those around me. I know there is no amount of righteous deeds or biblical literacy that could ever replace Christ-centered love. I don’t want my actions to be empty, but filled with substance and effectiveness. Fill me with Your love, oh Lord. Guide me and teach me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.🙏🏾

Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Genesis 17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.” GENESIS 17:5 DEVOTION Based on Genesis 17 God changed Abram’s name to Abraham, marking a new identity and a fulfilled promise. This transformation was more than symbolic—it reflected God’s covenant and the purpose He had for Abraham’s life. Though Abraham had no children at the time, God spoke His promise as already fulfilled, reminding us that His plans are certain even when we can’t see them yet. Like Abraham, we are called to trust in God’s promises, even when circumstances seem impossible. He not only gives us a new identity in Him but also equips us to walk in the purpose He has for us. Take a moment tonight to reflect on the identity God has given you. Breathe out doubt, and breathe in faith. Trust that He is shaping you for His promises, even if you don’t yet see the results. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: Praise God for His sovereignty and faithfulness. Worship Him as the One who calls, renames, and fulfills His promises. CONFESSION: Reflect on moments when doubt has made it hard to trust God’s plan. Confess any fears that have kept you from embracing His purpose for your life. THANKSGIVING: Thank God for the new identity He has given you in Christ. Express gratitude for His promises, even those that are still unfolding in your life. SUPPLICATION: Father, help me trust in Your promises, even when I can’t yet see them. Strengthen my faith to walk in the purpose You’ve set before me. Give me confidence in the identity You’ve given me, and remind me that Your plans for my life will come to pass. PRAYER “Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.” GENESIS 17:5 Dear God, Your covenant of grace and kindness is unfailing. You have promised to give Abraham a great nation, with descendants more numerous than the stars in the sky. We praise You for Your promise and for Your faithfulness to our forefathers. We thank You for the generations before us who trusted You and followed You. We thank You for the gift of life, and Your loving kindness that sustains us each day. We ask that You would help us to honor our covenant with You so that Your word may be fulfilled. Show us the way to live according to Your will and give us strength when we stumble. May we live lives of righteousness and may our descendants honor You with their lives. We ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾 PRAY FOR YOUR COMMUNITY The Lord will do everything; just do good deeds and love your enemies. 1 Episode 1250 - Jarvis Kingston Almighty God, You are the One who makes a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert. ISAIAH 43:18-19 ! 15:01
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Isaiah 43:18-19 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” ISAIAH 43:18-19 DEVOTION Based on Isaiah 43 God calls us to let go of the past and trust in the new things He is doing. Dwelling on past failures, hurts, or even successes can keep us from seeing His fresh work in our lives. He promises renewal—bringing life where there was barrenness and making a way where there was none. Just as He provided for Israel in their wilderness, He is still the God who creates paths through difficulty and refreshes weary hearts. His power is limitless, and His plans are always greater than what we leave behind. Take a moment tonight to surrender past burdens. Breathe out regret and fear, and breathe in the hope of His new work. Ask Him to open your heart to His fresh beginnings. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: Praise God for His power to bring renewal. Worship Him as the God who makes a way in the wilderness and provides rivers in dry places. CONFESSION: Reflect on times you’ve clung to the past instead of trusting God’s new plan. Confess any fear or doubt that has kept you from embracing His renewal. THANKSGIVING: Thank God for His faithfulness in leading you forward. Express gratitude for the times He has made a way when things seemed impossible. SUPPLICATION: Father, help me release what is behind and step into what You are doing. Open my eyes to see Your new work in my life. Strengthen my faith to trust Your guidance, and refresh my heart with Your presence. PRAYER “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” ISAIAH 43:18-19 Almighty God, You are the One who makes a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert. You turn the rugged mountains into roads and make them level paths for Your people to traverse. We marvel at Your power and authority over all things, both seen and unseen. Your mercies never fail - they are new every morning, and we thank You for Your grace and compassion. Your love is perfect and endures forever, even when times are hard. We trust in You to lead us through the dark valleys and shadows that can try to overtake us, knowing that You will always be faithful. 1 Episode 1249 - Jarvis Kingston Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. 15:01
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Exodus 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.” EXODUS 20:12 DEVOTION Based on Exodus 20 This commandment reminds us that honoring our parents is not just a moral duty but a divine principle that brings blessings. Honoring them means showing respect, gratitude, and care—whether through obedience in our youth or support and love in their later years. God designed family as a foundation for society, and when we uphold this commandment, we reflect His order and wisdom. Honoring parents is not always easy, especially in strained relationships, but God calls us to love and respect them regardless. Take a moment tonight to reflect on how you honor your parents. Breathe out resentment, and breathe in gratitude for their role in your life. Ask God to help you show love and respect in a way that pleases Him. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: Praise God for the gift of family and His wisdom in establishing the role of parents. Celebrate His design that teaches love, respect, and care in relationships. CONFESSION: Reflect on times when you’ve failed to honor your parents—through words, actions, or neglect. Confess these moments to God and ask for a heart that reflects His love. THANKSGIVING: Thank God for the influence and sacrifices of your parents or parental figures. Express gratitude for the lessons they’ve taught and the ways they’ve shaped your life. SUPPLICATION: Father, help me to honor my parents with love, respect, and gratitude. Give me patience and wisdom in my interactions with them. Heal any broken relationships and teach me to reflect Your love in how I treat them. Let my actions bring glory to You. PRAYER “Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.” EXODUS 20:12 Dear Lord, Whenever I am faced with the command to honor my father and mother, I am reminded of the position of dignity You’ve placed on parents. You hold parents in great honor because You’ve also given them great responsibility. Raising children is not for the faint of heart, nor should it be taken lightly. Give me a greater reverence for my own parents and parenting figures in my life, and fill me with a sense of awe that I am able to have such a privilege. 1 Episode 1248 - Jarvis Kingston But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering and plenteous in mercy and truth 15:01
Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 86:15 I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4 Read John 15 and reflect on what it means to abide in Christ. This Devotional highlighted how life's challenges can often feel overwhelming. However, we are reminded that God calls us to seek Him in every season of our lives. Both David and Hannah trusted in God, even in times of uncertainty, and He responded to their faith. Regardless of what you may be facing, trusting in God's timing can bring you peace and clarity. Scripture I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4 Have you ever felt like your prayers were unanswered? Like you were waiting on God with no clear answer in sight? You are not alone. David felt this as he fled from Saul, unsure if he would ever be free. Hannah endured years of heartbreak as she waited for a child. Yet, instead of giving up, they both sought the Lord with all their hearts—and He answered. What do you do when you don’t see an immediate breakthrough? Do you hold on to faith, or do you start doubting? Psalm 34:4 says, “I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.” Seeking God isn’t just about asking for what we want—it’s about developing trust in His perfect timing. Hannah prayed fervently, and God not only blessed her with a son, but with a prophet who changed a nation. David kept calling on God, and in time, he became king. Their stories show us that God’s delays are not denials; they are often part of a bigger plan. Are you willing to trust God even when the outcome is unclear? Waiting on the Lord requires patience, but it is never wasted. God strengthens us in the process, teaching us to trust Him beyond what we see. Esther had to wait for the right moment to speak up. Mary had to trust God’s plan even when it didn’t make sense. Every great move of God begins with someone who chooses faith over fear. So today, whatever season you are in, seek the Lord. He hears you, He loves you, and in His perfect time, He will answer. REFLECTION Think about the situation you are struggling with right now. Are you praying with faith, or with fear? Are you trusting in God’s timing, or are you trying to control the outcome yourself? This week, take a step of faith. Choose to seek God daily—not just for answers, but for a deeper relationship with Him. Write down His promises, declare them over your life, and trust that He is working even when you don’t see it. The waiting season is not wasted—it’s preparation for what’s coming next. PRAYER But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. PSALM 86:15 Dear Father, thank You for Your patience and mercies. Guide me with Your Word as I go about my day. Help me to be as forgiving as You during times of trials and tribulations. Help me to understand that even though my love for You is strong is does not exempt me from suffering. Please remind me to look to You and seek You when I encounter difficult times. May Your love be the guiding light and source of strength for me always. Amen.🙏🏾 Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/jarvis-kingston--1517583/support .…

1 Episode 1247 - Jarvis Kingston Then Joseph said to them, 'Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.' Genesis 40:8 & 40:4 ! 15:01
Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Genesis 40:4 In life’s darkest moments, faith shines a light. FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: JOY Encourage someone going through a tough time with a text or call. Today’s story highlights Joseph’s unwavering faith in God while in prison. By helping others, even in his own hardship, Joseph finds purpose and paves the way for his eventual deliverance, teaching us that faith can bring light and hope in life’s darkest moments. STORY Bible in a Year: Faithful in the Prison Scripture Then Joseph said to them, 'Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.' Genesis 40:8 “Just give up.” “It’s not worth it.” “Stay down.” “God can’t use you anymore.” These are the lies the enemy will throw at you in your darkest moments. But Joseph’s story proves all those lies to be false. Joseph quickly becomes the overseer of the prison, ministering to his fellow inmates. In a moment of divine appointment, he interprets the dreams of Pharoah’s cupbearer and baker. His willingness to notice other people’s needs, even when he is going through a trial, ends up being what gets him out. This episode of Bible in a Year exemplifies the transformative power of faith and hope in adversity. Joseph's trust in God doesn't waver, even when his situation seems hopeless. His ability to find purpose in his pain by helping others illustrates that we can be a source of light in our darkest moments. Our current struggles or confinements are not our end. Like Joseph, we can find meaning and purpose in our trials, knowing God is with us, shaping us for His greater plan. REFLECTION Are you experiencing a trial at the moment? The temptation to pity yourself and be selfish is real. Helping others will draw the joy and purpose out of you. Take time today to get out of your head and look for opportunities to serve. PRAYER And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them: and they continued a season in ward. GENESIS 40:4 God, as I reflect on Genesis 40 I ask that You give me the ability to give divine solutions and walk in divine understanding. I will not allow the circumstances in my life to determine whether or not I use my gifts to help the lives of others. Even when I feel overlooked and imprisoned, like Joseph, I will hold fast to my calling and I will continue to be faithful in the midst of my prison. I declare that I will not lose hope, for I know that once You make a promise God nothing on earth can stop it. Today, I choose to be a resource to fuel the dreams of others. My power flows in abundance when my back is against the ropes. I decree and declare that in all seasons You can use me God, and because I'm willing to be used I know my deliverance is just around the corner. 1 Episode 1246 - Jarvis Kingston Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins. -Proverbs 10:12 & Proverbs 13:24 | Breaking News Pray 15:01
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Proverbs 13:24 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins. -Proverbs 10:12 DEVOTION Based on Proverbs 10 This verse highlights the stark contrast between hatred and love. Hatred fuels conflict, creating division and strife, while love seeks unity, forgiveness, and restoration. Love doesn’t ignore wrongdoing but chooses grace over retaliation, working to heal and reconcile rather than stir up discord. When we love others as God loves us, we reflect His character, covering offenses with forgiveness and seeking peace. This kind of love has the power to transform relationships and bring harmony where conflict once reigned. Take time tonight to examine how you respond to conflict. Breathe out anger or resentment, and breathe in God’s love. Ask Him to help you choose love over hatred and to be a peacemaker in your relationships. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: Praise God for His love that covers all sins and for His example of forgiveness and grace. Rejoice in His mercy, which brings reconciliation and peace to your relationship with Him and others. CONFESSION: Reflect on times when anger or hatred has stirred up strife in your relationships. Confess these moments to God and ask for His help to respond with love and forgiveness. THANKSGIVING: Thank God for the gift of His love, which empowers you to extend grace and seek peace in your relationships. Express gratitude for the times His love has brought healing and restoration. SUPPLICATION: Father, teach me to choose love over hatred in every situation. Help me to forgive as You’ve forgiven me and to be a source of peace and unity in my relationships. Let Your love flow through me to cover offenses and bring harmony to those around me. PRAYER “He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.” PROVERBS 13:24 Dear Lord, We know that You discipline those You love. You offer us guidance and protection through discipline, and we become better followers of You. Help us to embrace the times when You correct us. And, as parents, empower us to lovingly discipline our own children. We want to mirror Your love in all things and in every relationship. Give us guidance, Lord, and make us better every day. Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Deuteronomy 6:6-7 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; -Matthew 5:44 DEVOTION Based on Matthew 5 Jesus’ teaching to love our enemies challenges the norms of human behavior. Loving those who hurt us isn’t natural—it’s supernatural, requiring a heart transformed by God’s grace. This love isn’t about condoning wrongdoing but reflecting Christ’s compassion and forgiveness, even toward those who oppose us. Blessing those who curse us, doing good to those who hate us, and praying for our persecutors reflects God’s character. It demonstrates a faith that transcends retaliation and chooses grace instead. Such love doesn’t just change relationships; it transforms hearts, including our own. Take time tonight to reflect on how you treat those who oppose or hurt you. Breathe out bitterness, and breathe in God’s love. Ask Him to help you love, bless, and pray for others, even in difficult situations. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: Praise God for His unconditional love and mercy, which inspire us to love beyond human limitations. Celebrate His grace that empowers you to respond with kindness, even to opposition. CONFESSION: Reflect on times when you’ve responded to enemies with anger or resentment. Confess these moments to God, and ask for His help to choose love and forgiveness instead. THANKSGIVING: Thank God for His example of loving and forgiving you, even when you were undeserving. Express gratitude for the opportunity to reflect His love through your actions toward others. SUPPLICATION: Father, help me to love my enemies as You have loved me. Teach me to bless, do good, and pray for those who hurt or oppose me. Give me the grace to forgive and the strength to choose kindness over retaliation. Let my actions reflect Your love and draw others to Your truth. PRAYER “And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.” DEUTERONOMY 6:6-7 Dear Lord, I pray that You would envelop my home and family with love, wisdom, and righteousness. I want Your commands to be at the forefront of our mind day and night. May the culture of our family be formed, informed, and transformed by the gospel of Christ. Reign in our family as King, and command our home with love and strength. We will follow You, but even when we stumble, we trust Your love will sustain us. 1 Episode 1244 - Jarvis Kingston Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. PROVERBS 22:6 Amen 15:01
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Proverbs 22:6 Romans 12:9 [Let your] love be sincere (a real thing); hate what is evil [loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness], but hold fast to that which is good. DEVOTION Based on Romans 12 This verse calls us to a love that is genuine, untainted by hypocrisy or selfish motives. True love isn’t performative; it flows from a heart transformed by God. Such love naturally leads us to reject evil and hold fast to what is good, aligning our actions and attitudes with God’s righteousness. Loving sincerely means caring deeply for others, seeking their well-being, and showing grace and compassion. It also means standing firm in God’s truth, rejecting what harms and embracing what uplifts. This balance of love and righteousness reflects God’s character in our lives. Take a moment tonight to examine your love for others. Breathe out pretense or bitterness, and breathe in sincerity and goodness. Ask God to help you love authentically and align your life with His truth. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: Praise God for His pure and unwavering love. Express gratitude for His guidance in helping you live out this command. SUPPLICATION: Father, teach me to love without hypocrisy. Help me to reject what is harmful and cling to what is good in my thoughts, words, and actions. Let my love reflect Your truth and sincerity, bringing glory to Your name and blessing those around me. PRAYER “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” PROVERBS 22:6 Dear Lord, I know that Your word holds power. Within Your will is the wisdom to live an abundant, fruitful, and fulfilling life. I pray that I would hold fast to Your will and never let go. I pray the same for my children. I want them to cherish Your word and seek it out for nourishment. Give me the wisdom to train them up in Your word, direct their paths, and send them off with confidence. It can be a vulnerable thing to entrust children to the future, but I trust they are in Your hands. I pray this Proverb would be true for their lives – that they wouldn’t depart from the goodness of Your ways. 1 Episode 1243 - Jarvis Kingston But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:19 YAH 15:01
Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Genesis 37:5 Pride will isolate you from the people around you. Today’s story highlights Joseph’s pride and his brothers’ envy, which led to betrayal and hardship. Though the family was divided, God’s plan remained at work, showing us how He can turn trials into part of His greater purpose. STORY Bible in a Year: The Dreams of Joseph Scripture But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peaceably to him. Genesis 37:4 God gave Joseph grand dreams and favor above the rest of his brothers. This was a privilege young Joseph couldn’t handle at first. He flaunted his favor in front of his brothers. Joseph’s brother hated him for his dreams and the favor he had from his father. Their envy turned to action, leading to Joseph’s betrayal and sale into slavery. This was the beginning of Joseph’s tumultuous journey. This chapter sets the stage for a story of God's providence, even in circumstances that seem utterly hopeless. The story of Joseph is a profound example of how envy and misunderstanding can lead to deep family divisions and personal suffering. Yet, it also showcases how God can use even the worst situations for a greater purpose. Joseph's trials were not meaningless; they were steps towards fulfilling the destiny God had laid out for him. REFLECTION Reflect on your own life experiences where you have felt betrayed or misunderstood. How did you respond to these challenges? Were you able to see God’s hand at work, even in the midst of hardship? Take time to forgive those who have wronged you, understanding that God’s plan is greater than our immediate pain or understanding. PRAYER And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. GENESIS 37:5 As I greet this new day I thank You Lord that I am growing in blessing and influence. Like Joseph, I thank You for uncommon favor with everyone I come in contact with. Like his coat of many colors I thank You that my unique giftings can be seen by all around me. When others around me plot against my future and try to derail the dreams You've given me I will refuse to become a slave to their bitterness and envy. I will not allow fear to make me forget my future, I will not abandon my position of power for I know that He who began a good work is faithful to complete it. I decree and declare that my dreams are still alive and that they will come to pass! This love is not just emotional but a deep devotion that engages every part of your being. Loving God with all your heart means giving Him your deepest affections. 1 Episode 1240 - Jarvis Kingston So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, 'It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared. 15:01
Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Genesis 32:28 The struggle is part of the story. Through it we are transformed. Today’s daily devotional reflects on Jacob’s wrestling with God. Through a night-long struggle, Jacob’s perseverance earns him a new name, Israel, signifying victory with God. This story reminds us that the struggles in life are not without purpose—they transform us, bringing us closer to God and His blessings. STORY Bible in a Year: You Are Israel Scripture So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, 'It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.' Genesis 32:30 Are you willing to wrestle with God? Are you willing to struggle through your doubt, fear, and pride and cling to God for blessing? Jacob was. Jacob was ready to wrestle God because he knew blessing was on the other side of the struggle. Because Jacob clung to God and wouldn’t let go, he was blessed. Jacob spent most of his life lying to get what he wanted. He used tricks and charisma to gain blessings. But when it was just he and God - mano e mano - there were no tricks. We may have others fooled, but God sees exactly who we are. If we want a flourishing relationship with God, we must be honest with Him and ourselves. We have to wrestle through complex things like doubt, fear, and pride. We can’t smooth-talk our way into favor, nor can we use positive thinking to live a blessed life. Blessing - true blessing - requires struggle. At the end of Jacob’s night-long wrestling match with the angel of the Lord, he is given a new name - Israel. Israel, in essence, means one who struggles with God and has victory. Did Jacob have victory over God? No. But through his willingness to wrestle and struggle, Jacob was given victory with God. REFLECTION Consider the struggles you're facing in your life right now. They might be with others, within yourself, or with God. What are you holding onto that you need to surrender? Like Jacob, wrestle with God in prayer, and don't let go until you find your blessing. This might mean a change in your character, perspective, or situation. Sometimes, the blessing we receive is the peace and transformation that comes from letting go and moving forward with a new identity and purpose. PRAYER And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. GENESIS 32:28 As I reflect on my life, thank You Lord for the gift of reconciliation and forgiveness. Thank You that even in my wrong doings You produce grace moments for me. Like Jacob in Genesis 32 and 33, I choose to believe the words of Your angels that declare that here is the Lord's place. I declare that my life is the Lord's place, I declare that my business is the Lord's place and that my relationships are in the Lord's place. Therefore I will not be afraid of seasons when I feel I'm wrestling for a new identity, a new blessing and a new beginning. I confess that I will hold onto You God until I receive my newness and I will not let go even after You bless me. You are my way maker and You are the God that makes old things new! Thank You Lord, that even in the midst of dysfunction You still allow Your glory to settle my differences and bring restoration in my life. Thank You for a new name of victory and a new purpose for my life filled with all Your many blessings. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.🙏🏾 Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/jarvis-kingston--1517583/support .…

1 Episode 1239 - Jarvis Kingston But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, -Galatians 5:22 15:01
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 John 3:18 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, -Galatians 5:22 DEVOTION Based on Galatians 5 This verse paints a beautiful picture of the character that the Holy Spirit produces in the lives of believers. The fruit of the Spirit is not a checklist of behaviors but a reflection of God’s nature at work within us. Each quality—love, joy, peace, patience (longsuffering), kindness (gentleness), goodness, and faithfulness—is evidence of a life yielded to the Spirit’s leading. As we walk in step with the Spirit, these fruits grow and flourish in us, transforming our relationships, actions, and responses to challenges. They are not produced by our efforts alone but through surrendering to God and allowing Him to work in and through us. The fruit of the Spirit is a testimony to the world of God’s presence and power in our lives. Take a moment tonight to reflect on how the fruit of the Spirit is evident in your life. Breathe out self-reliance, and breathe in the Spirit’s power to transform your heart. Trust that as you remain connected to Him, His fruit will grow abundantly. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: Praise God for His Spirit, who dwells within you and produces His divine character in your life. Rejoice in the beauty of His love, joy, and peace that flows through you as you remain in Him. CONFESSION: Reflect on moments when you’ve resisted the Spirit’s work or struggled to exhibit these fruits. Confess any areas where you’ve relied on your own strength rather than the Spirit’s power. THANKSGIVING: Thank God for the work of His Spirit in your life, transforming you to reflect His love and goodness. Express gratitude for the ways He has already grown these fruits in your relationships and responses. SUPPLICATION: Father, I ask You to help me remain connected to Your Spirit so that Your fruit may grow in me. Teach me to love as You love, to find joy in Your presence, to experience peace in every situation, and to show patience in trials. Let Your kindness, goodness, and faithfulness be evident in my actions, bringing glory to Your name. Strengthen me to live a life that reflects Your Spirit’s work. PRAYER “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”1 JOHN 3:18 Dear Heavenly Father, You are steady and trustworthy in all You do. I can trust that whatever You declare, Youwill do. Your word and Your actions are one and the same. I pray that I would have the same steadiness. I pray that You would empower me to be trustworthy, backing up my words with my actions. I don’t just want to say I love people, I want to show it with my deeds. Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Genesis 31:21 The journey to freedom requires a bold first step into the unknown. Write down the names of three people who have wronged you. Pray for each of them and ask God to help you forgive them. Today’s daily devotional focuses on Jacob fleeing from Laban. Obeying God’s call, Jacob takes a courageous step to leave behind a toxic environment and pursue the promise of a better future. This story reminds us to trust God’s guidance and boldly embrace the changes needed for freedom and growth. STORY Bible in a Year: Fleeing Laban Scripture Then the Lord said to Jacob, 'Go back to the land of your fathers and to your relatives, and I will be with you.' Genesis 31:3 When do you know it’s time to flee a toxic environment? Sometimes, it’s hard to tell because the place that’s bad for us can often be the most comfortable. Jacob had to listen closely to God. When the time came to flee, he listened and boldly stepped into the unknown. Despite fearing potential conflict with Laban and his brother, Esau, Jacob sets out with his family and possessions, chasing the promise of a better future. This episode of Bible in a Year highlights the complexities of pursuing freedom and the courage required to leave behind known hardships for uncertain liberation. It's a testament to the human spirit's resilience and the profound impact of taking control of one's destiny. Jacob's journey teaches us the importance of heeding God’s guidance and the value of family unity in times of transition. This story also speaks of the inevitable challenges that accompany significant life changes. When things get shaky, will we have the wisdom and resilience to press through? REFLECTION Are there situations or environments you need the courage to leave behind for a better future? Like Jacob, you may face fear and uncertainty, but also, like Jacob, you can trust in God's promise of presence and guidance. Lord, today I will stand in a place of gratitude for every season that I go through, I will look for the good that You've hidden in each trial and tribulation. Like Jacob, even when I don’t feel honored nor appreciated by others, I will hold my integrity and do everything with excellence knowing that as I water the field that I'm entrusted with, I am actually preparing myself to step into the greatest harvest season of my life. Give me the wisdom and knowledge to travel and build with people of integrity and honesty. Thank You God for speaking on my behalf and for protecting me from others who would seek to harm and hinder me. I declare that I am covered and I decree that under Your protection Lord I am untouchable. Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers. -1 Kings 19:4 DEVOTION Based on 1 Kings 19 This verse captures a deeply human moment in the life of Elijah, a prophet who had just experienced incredible victories for God but now finds himself overcome with exhaustion and despair. Alone in the wilderness, Elijah’s cry, “It is enough,” reflects the weight of his struggles and the depth of his discouragement. Even those with the strongest faith can experience moments of overwhelming doubt, fear, and hopelessness. Yet, this passage is also a powerful reminder of God’s tender care. Following Elijah’s plea, God meets him not with rebuke but with provision and rest. God sends an angel to minister to Elijah’s physical needs, offering food and water, and gently calls him to rise and continue his journey. In the wilderness, God’s presence is a lifeline, reminding us that He sees, cares, and strengthens us when we feel at our lowest. Take a moment tonight to bring your burdens and feelings of “It is enough” to God. Breathe out your weariness, and breathe in His compassion. PRAYER “Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.” 1 CORINTHIANS 13:4-7 Dear Heavenly Father, I know that if I am rooted in You, the fruit of love will manifest. The fullness of love is found in Your Spirit, so I pray You would anoint me in abundance. I want my character to be formed by You so I may live effectively for Your Kingdom.
