Pete Hegseth, President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Defense, faced an intense confirmation hearing yesterday with his allies celebrating ability to lead the Pentagon and his critics, particularly among Senate Democrats, raising questions about his qualifications and ideological stance.

Behar questioned Underwood’s decision, suggesting it conflicted with her professed love for America.
