We are going to talk today about heaven and our ascension into it. What is heaven, where is it and how do we get there? It may not be what you have been told. It is not a place where you must die to get there. Jesus said the kingdom of heaven is within us. But this kingdom within is not material, it is spiritual.
Romans 14:17
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
What Paul is saying is try to think about heaven as a state of mind not like a place we would go on vacation (meaning a natural, physical place). We can only attain this by the leading of Holy Spirit.
Jesus is bidding all of us to come up here. (to ascend up to him)
